I'm Ysabel Pérez. I build small digital businesses and the websites and tools that run them, and I write here about what works, what fails and what it really costs.
How I got here
I was a teacher with two young kids, and my salary wasn't enough. So I started selling door to door: shampoo, wine, drawings, scale models. I kept remembering my mom's words: if you learn to sell, you can earn all the time.
Selling turned into a craft. Under the name Victorysa I ran a school and office supplies store, a restaurant and peña, a piñata shop, a taekwondo academy and stands at trade fairs. Each business taught me something the previous one hadn't.
Right before the pandemic I lost a major investment and had to start from zero. I took my business online, and that's how Vysa Trading LLC was born.
What I do today
From Victoria, British Columbia, I sell handmade products on Etsy and Amazon.ca, and I'm building a Shopify store. I also design websites, web tools and automations for small businesses, and I test every idea on my own projects first.
Every project I show on this site carries a status tag, so you always know what you're looking at: Live (working and open to customers), Live demo (a working sample built to show what a client site can do) or Beta (still being finished). You can browse them on the projects section.
How I write
The articles on this site come from my own experience: opening stores on Amazon, Etsy and Shopify, setting up a U.S. LLC as a non-U.S. seller, and investing as a Canadian resident. When I quote a fee, a price or a rule, I link the source, because those numbers change. My investing articles describe what I do with my own money; they are educational and are not financial advice.
If something I wrote is wrong or out of date, tell me and I'll fix it.
What I believe
Nothing is lost. Everything transforms.
Money can disappear. A business can fall. But what you learn, what you build and the person you become… no one can take that from you.
I sold. I learned. I failed. I started over. You don’t need to wait for an opportunity. You can learn to build it. That’s why Vysa Trading LLC was born.
